Beautiful poster of Roman Cieslewicz for the exhibition at the Grand Palais in 1972: Twelve Years of Contemporary Art in France.
Roman Cieslewicz (Cieślewicz), born on January 13, 1930 in Lwów (then in Poland, now in Ukraine under the name of Lviv) and died on January 21, 1996 in Antony, was a Polish artist and graphic designer of the second half of the 20th century.
His work, eclectic, covers a diversity of graphic expressions from the poster to advertising through photomontage, publishing and illustration. His images scrutinize the world, as they are a reflection of it, a testimony, thus revealing all the singularity of the artist, that of a committed personality; Roman Cieslewicz envisaged his role as a graphic designer in direct contact with current events.
