This original poster features various symbols associated with the Grenoble region. One can recognize the Perret Tower, the first reinforced concrete tower built in 1925 for the International Exhibition of White Coal and Tourism, Praise for Modernity. In the background, you can admire the Belledonne mountain range, part of the Alps visible from downtown Grenoble, a view that enchants both residents and tourists.

In art deco style, this is one of the most famous posters of the city of Grenoble. It was created by Gaston Gorde, who specialized in tourist posters, especially for skiing and the Alps.

In 1968, the city is the second of France to host the Winter Olympics after Chamonix in 1924. This Xth edition gathers 1 158 athletes from 37 countries, a record at the time for the Winter Games.
