Primavera is the story of an amazing artistic adventure.
Printemps was the first department store in the early 20th century to create an original design studio, thanks to the determination of two ardent supporters of the introduction of modernity in the decorative arts, Pierre Laguionie, a young Printemps manager, and the lawyer René Guilleré, founder of the Société des Artistes décorateurs.
In 1912, the two men founded the Primavera ("spring" in Italian) workshop, which grew rapidly after the First World War.
Its goal: to make utilitarian or decorative objects accessible to all, at the same time beautiful, modern and of quality.
