An original poster made in 1942, in the middle of the World War when France was partly occupied. The war effort had to be supported and all the communication levers were used.
On this sublime poster calling on French citizens to join the navy, we see a naval officer posing proudly, looking away, sure of himself.
On his hat is written "Richelieu" which was a battleship of the French Navy.
In capital letters is written "For France... Be a sailor".
