The X Ball is a prestigious event organized every year, usually in the spring, at the Garnier Opera House, by the X Ball Committee of the Association of Former Students and Graduates of the École Polytechnique (AX) with the help of the students of the École #polytechnique.
Its creation dates back to 1879 and its goal, which has not changed since, is charitable.
