Original vintage travel poster to Menton made by Hugo d'Alesi for the Railroad PLM. Hugo d'Alesi, is a French painter and graphic designer of Romanian origin (1849 - 1906) who made a large number of tourist posters for railway companies in the late nineteenth century.
Menton is a city on the French Riviera in southeastern France. It is known for its beaches and gardens but especially for its citrus fruits, especially its lemons with an intense taste, which are coveted all over the world. Every year, Menton celebrates its citrus fruits by organizing the Lemon Festival during the carnival, from mid to late February.
