Rare poster of Niki de Saint Phalle realized in Serigraphy in 1976 for her film entitled A dream longer than the night.
Niki de Saint Phalle was first a model, then a mother before approaching art as an autodidact. She did not follow any academic art education, but was nourished by abundant artistic exchanges with her elders and contemporaries. Inspired by several currents, art brut, outsider art, she began to paint in 1952. In 1961, she was a member of the Nouveaux Réalistes group, along with Gérard Deschamps, César, Mimmo Rotella, Christo and Yves Klein. First wife of Harry Mathews, with whom she had two children, she married in 1971 the Swiss artist Jean Tinguely. With him, she will realize a great number of sculptures-architectures.
