A very nice poster made by Jean Even 🇫🇷 (1910-1986), a French painter, lithographer and poster artist.
In parallel to his career as a painter and teacher, Jean Even begins a career as a poster artist.
He realized many tourist posters for the Maghreb in the 1940s, and obtained in 1948 and for several years the first prize of posters of the Moroccan Office of Tourism, in Rabat.
In 1952 he was appointed official painter of the national navy.
Residing in Brittany, the Finistère became his main source of inspiration and he developed a very characteristic style: a colorful and dynamic line where he had fun translating everything that is moving, the waves, the boats or the reflection in the water.
A graphic composition perfectly mastered under the influence of a certain artistic blur.
