A very beautiful poster which intervenes in a particular political context. Indeed, on December 10, 1944, representatives of the Provisional Government of the French Republic signed in Moscow the first treaty of alliance and mutual assistance with the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR).
The main purpose of the alliance was "to eliminate any new threat from Germany, and to hinder any initiative that might make a new attempt at aggression possible on its part".
This propaganda poster intervenes therefore in order to protest against this agreement and wants to warn the French population "against the cancer of Stalinist terrorism".
