Lavocat Aliments Irradiés "Force Energie..." Circa 1930

This magnificent original poster from the late Art Deco period was created for the Lavocat brand.
It shows a rugby player running at stallion speed - no doubt thanks to Lavocat, an "irradiated" food.
Even today, the US FDA (Food and Drug Administration) believes that food irradiation eliminates harmful bacteria, airborne germs and other microbes that can harm food.

The Art deco movement (1925-1940) was the world's first architecture-decoration movement. It had a major impact on architecture, interior design, industrial design, fashion, painting, graphic arts and cinema. At the time, this style was considered elegant, glamorous, functional and modern.
