This 1930s poster was created by Henry George Gawthorn (1879-1941). Gawthorn began his artistic career as an architect and only later turned to art. He wrote several books on poster design and advertising and produced a number of posters for the LNER (London North Eastern Railway).
This sublime poster features a stylized representation of the Brighton Aquarium and Madeira Drive.
