The Deutsch-de-la-Meurthe Cup was for thirty years the most spectacular competition and the most revealing of the technical evolution of aviation.

Concerning the 1934 edition, it was a duel between pilots of the Caudron team.
Maurice Arnoux won thanks to a top speed of more than 400km/h! An admirable feat for the time
