Original poster, in an Art Deco style, was made in 1936 by Francis Bernard 🇫🇷 (1900-1979) to promote the Olympia typewriter.
Francis Bernard is a famous French poster designer. He joined in 1930 the Union des Artistes Modernes which includes the great names of the poster as Carlu, Cassandre, Colin or Loupot.
Olympia Werke is a German company which produced typewriters and which was established in Roffhausen, near Wilhelmshaven. The company produced its first typewriters in 1903 at the request of Allgemeine Elektricitäts-Gesellschaft (AEG). The factory has been closed since 1991, and only the brand name still exists.
