Ducretet et Compagnie, now Ducretet Thomson, is an old French company founded in 1864 and whose brand disappeared at the end of the 1970s. It was founded by the scientist Eugène Adrien Ducretet who produced, among other scientific instruments, the first "plate phonograph", or record player. The company was later absorbed into the French Thomson Group and the division's product line expanded to include the first television sets.
The company's trademark was also used for a record label until the late 1950s, which eventually became part of London Records.
