Original vintage cruise travel poster for Blue Star Line Mediterranean Cruises on the Queen of Cruising Liners Arandora Star featuring a colourful image of a man in front of a steam ship reflected on the blue sea below with buildings visible on land along the horizon. The SS Arandora Star was built in 1927 for Blue Star Line for their London, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires route (one of the luxury five cruise liners); she served as a troop ship during World War Two but was hit by a torpedo and sunk in June 1940 whilst transporting internees and prisoners of war to Canada. The Blue Star Line was a British shipping company that operated passenger and cargo services around the world from 1911-1998. Printed by Jarrold & Sons Ltd Norwich and London.
