Lucien Boucher (1889-1971) composed several posters for Air France, often in the form of maps showing the airline's routes. His first one dates from 1934 when the company was founded in 1933.
This one was made in 1962.
He also incorporated symbolic elements such as the signs of the zodiac and mythological figures by superimposing his planispheres with sky maps.
His work for Air France was particularly appreciated; he became "Mr. Planisphere"!
