Beautiful poster of exhibition of the writings and engraved work of Max Ernst to the gallery of the point Cardinal.
Max Ernst ( 1891 - 1976 ) was a German painter, sculptor, graphic artist and poet. A prolific artist, Ernst was one of the main pioneers of the Dada movement and surrealism. He had no formal art training, but his experimental attitude toward art-making resulted in the invention of rubbing-a technique that uses pencil rubbings of objects as a source of images-and scratching, a similar technique in which paint is scraped off the canvas to reveal the imprints of objects placed beneath it. He is also known for his novels composed of collages.
